  • Caring for your hand-painted glass ornaments is all about being gentle! The paint on these fragile items can be sensitive to chemicals, heat, and rough handling.

Here are simple care instructions for cleaning, handling, and storage:

    Cleaning & Handling

    • Dust Gently: Use a soft-bristled brush (like a clean makeup or small artist's brush), a micro fiber cloth or a feather duster to gently remove dust.

    • Avoid Liquids/Chemicals: Do not immerse the ornaments in water. Avoid using any chemical cleaners, as they can damage the hand-painted details. If you must clean a spot, a microfiber cloth or cotton swab very lightly dampened with plain lukewarm water is the safest option. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

    • Handle Carefully: Hold the ornament as little as possible. When hanging or packing, try to hold it by the hanger/cap and gently support the underside.

    Storage

    • Individual Wrapping: Wrap each ornament individually using acid-free tissue paper or, for more protection, bubble wrap. Avoid newspaper, as the ink can transfer and cause damage.

    • Original packaging (for ball ornaments) : Always store them in the original box they came in

    • Climate Control: Store the box in a cool, dry place with stable temperatures, like a closet shelf.

      • Avoid attics, garages, or basements where extreme temperatures (heat/cold) and humidity can cause the paint to peel or the glass to cloud/crack.

These simple steps will help ensure your hand-painted glass ornaments last for generations!
