This piece was inspired by Arabic designs. The Persian influence on Indian culture can be seen in Mughal art and architecture of which some great examples are the in-lay work of the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort and the ornate lattice windows of Humayun's tomb. The intricate marble in-lay work, designs and the majestic monuments are a sight to behold.
My travels in North India inspired me to create a series based on Arabic designs. Blue and Gold is the first in the series.
